This week we had fun with the letter P! On Monday we focused on Pets. We talked about what kind of animals that can be pets, farm animals, and wild or zoo animals. For snack time they had fish crackers and iced animal cookies. The kids did a letter page with a penguin and made some paper plate aquariums. They also played veterinarian a little at the end.
On Wednesday we talked about popcorn. We had a story about popcorn. The kids colored a bag for their popcorn and a bucket of popcorn. We took the lid off the popper and let the kids watch it pop out. We also mixed some different things: powdered sugar, cinnamon, ranch mix, and some southwestern seasoning with popcorn and had them taste it. They all loved the powdered sugar, one liked the cinnamon, one liked the ranch, and they all didn't like the southwestern seasoning. I was proud of them for trying the different tastes. We made a graph and showed what it looked like and how they could see a picture of who liked what.

You posted yours fast too!! Amy loved the popcorn. We only microwave ours so the air popper was so cool for her. She didn't even know what it was.
Will was the same about the popcorn popper, he only knew that it came out of the microwave. What a good idea with the taste chart too!
